Greg Combet, the minister for defense materiel, has launched a new defense industry policy for Australia, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
The policy outlines more than Aus$445 million (US$387 million) of programs designed to improve Australian industries competitiveness, innovation, ability to enter export markets, win local contracts and boost the skills of their workforces, said Combet.
