New Commanders Take Reins Of NATO Naval Groups

Two of NATO's standing naval groups have new commanders, reports the alliance.
On Monday, U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Edward Cashman formally assumed command of Standing NATO Maritime Group 1 (SNMG1) during a ceremony in Copenhagen, Denmark, succeeding a Royal Danish Navy commodore, said a NATO release on Wednesday.
Cashman will command the group from the destroyer USS Gravely (DDG-107).
