The U.S. Air Force is going to have a new unit at the 50th Space Wing, Schriever Air Force Base, Colo., as part of efforts to enhance military satellite operations, reports Defense One.
The Space Mission Force was scheduled to be activated on Monday. Weather shut down much of the activity at Schriever on Monday.
The force will include 352 personnel across four squadrons. Half will be responsible for operations, while the other half is training.
