New Coast Guard Vessels To Carry Names Of WWI Heroes

The Canadian coast guard has announced the names for two new vessels under construction for its fleet, reports QMI News.

The first two of nine mid-shore patrol vessels will bear the names of soldiers who died in World War I and were awarded the Victoria Cross.

Cpl. Joseph Kaeble was killed near Arras on June 9, 1918, with the Royal 22nd Regiment, while he single-handedly repelled a German attack with his Lewis gun.
