U.S. Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer has announced that the service's newest class of towing, salvage and rescue ships will be named Navajo, reports the Daily Times (Farmington, N.M.).
The lead ship in the class will honor the Native American tribe and the Dine people, who have fought and served in the U.S. armed forces in nearly every major conflict, Spencer announced on Tuesday.
