New Center Eyed To Counter Oil Thieves, Vandals

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has decided to build a new commander center in Yenogoa, the capital of Bayelsa state in the southern part of the country, reports This Day (Lagos).
The center will accommodate modern technology to upgrade the NSCDC's efforts against vandalism of oil facilities and illegal oil theft in the resource-rich Niger Delta region.
Oil thieves employ a process called "bunkering" -- first cutting into pipes with hacksaws or blades....
