Starting in the spring, the Marines are going to be using improved body armor that is designed to be more comfortable and adjustable than current models, the Marine Corps Times reports.
Development of the improved modular tactical vest (IMTV) dates to at least 2008 when troops in Iraq and Afghanistan complained about the modular vest, which can weigh up to 30 pounds with full armor plates.
