The Nigerian army has decided to set up an aviation wing to complement the nation's air force, reports the Daily Trust (Abuja).
Last week, Lt. Gen. Kenneth Minimah, the army chief of staff, told 10 soldiers in the midst of helicopter training at the school in Enugu that they would form the core of the new aviation wing.
The unit is intended to enhance the service's counterinsurgency capabilities.
