China has conducted the maiden flight of a new armed reconnaissance drone, reports the South China Morning Post.
On Monday, the WJ-700 high-speed, high-altitude air vehicle made its first flight at an undisclosed location, reported China Space News.
Haiying General Aviation Equipment, which developed the drone, said that more testing would be needed before the aircraft could enter service.
A prototype WJ-700 was first unveiled two years ago at Airshow China 2018.
