New Air Force Center To Keep Eye On Satellites

The first space surveillance facility in South Korea has opened, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

The Space Operations Center, located at the air force headquarters in Gyeryong, was launched Wednesday, according to a service release.

The center is designed to help the military guard against space accidents. It will also detect and predict when foreign satellites will pass over South Korea, said the air force.

Monitoring operations will rely on data from the U.S....
