Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has failed to form a government before a deadline set by President Reuven Rivlin, reports the Jerusalem Post.
The deadline expired at midnight on Tuesday.
Shortly before the deadline, Netanyahu released a statement blaming Naftali Bennett, the leader of the new Yamina party, for refusing to help form a right-wing governing coalition.
This is the third time in the last two years that Netanyahu has failed to form a government.
