Negotiations Lead To Taliban Fighters' Surrender

Eight Taliban insurgents surrendered to NATO and Afghan troops in Baghlan province on Saturday, NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) reports.

The fighters turned themselves in to a forward operating base in Puza-i-Eshan, said an ISAF statement.

Afghan army Gen. Murad Ali Murad and German Brig. Gen. Frank Leidenberger, Regional Command-North commander, attended a shura with the militants to negotiate terms of their surrender.
