The Royal New Zealand Navy has made public the name for its future logistic support ship, reports the New Zealand Defense Forces.
The ship will be the largest ever in the New Zealand navy, noted Stuff (New Zealand). It will cost an estimated NZ$493 million (US$343 million).
The 24,000-metric-ton vessel, to be built in South Korea by Hyundai Heavy Industries, will be named Aotearoa, the NZDF said in a Monday release.
