Navy Watches Testing Of Unmanned Underwater System For Mine Warfare

The French ECA Group has been demonstrating its A9-M unmanned underwater vehicle for the Belgian navy.
Testing took place offshore from the Zeebruge naval base in mid-September. It demonstrated the system's capabilities compared to those already in Belgian service, said ECA in a release on Thursday.
The length of the A9-M is 6 feet, 7 inches (2 m). It weighs 150 pounds (70 kg) and can operate for up to 10 hours at a time. According to ECA, it is designed to be easily deployed...
