Navy Wants To Move On From Oldest Ticonderoga-Class Cruisers

The U.S. Navy is looking at canceling planned service-life extensions for six of its oldest Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruisers, reports Defense News.

Under the plan, the Bunker Hill, Mobile Bay, Antietam, Leyte Gulf, San Jacinto and Lake Champlain would be retired in 2021 and 2022, defense officials told the newspaper.
