Navy Tests Air Defense Capabilities, Simulates 'Real Warfare' In E. China Sea

Warships from three fleets for the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) have just completed a missile assessment in the East China Sea, reports China Military Online.
More than 40 ships conducted live-fire anti-missile and air defense training exercises, military officials said. The drills began on Dec. 7.
The competitive assessment was designed to evaluate the air defense and anti-missile defense performance of the ships and their crews.
