Navy Takes Delivery Of John Warner Submarine

Huntington Ingalls Industries has delivered the latest Virginia-class nuclear-powered attack submarine to the U.S. Navy.
The John Warner (SSN-785) was handed over on Thursday, 2.5 months ahead of schedule, in Newport News, Va., according to an HII release.
The boat is the 12th in the class and the sixth to be delivered by Newport News Shipbuilding. The firm is teamed with General Dynamics Electric Boat in Connecticut for the program.
