The Pakistani navy says it is planning to set up a new naval base in Gwadar in Pakistan's southwest, where China is involved in building the commercial port, reports the China Daily.
The navy has only recently begun feasibility studies into the new base, said Adm. Asif Sandila, the Pakistani navy chief, who is on his first visit to China this week.
