Navy Secretary Kenneth Braithwaite has announced plans to establish a new numbered fleet to focus on the border zone where the Indian and Pacific oceans meet, reports USNI News.
The proposed 1st Fleet would be assigned responsibility for the Indian Ocean and the southwestern reaches of the Pacific Ocean that border it, reported Breaking Defense.
