In a settlement, the U.S. Navy has agree to limit the use of sonar that ay affect marine animals in areas of the Pacific Ocean, reports Time magazine.
The settlement was reached on Monday between environmental groups and the Navy to restrict the use of mid-frequency sonar in a habitat for beaked whales between Santa Catalina and San Nicolas Island, both off the coast of California.
Sonar use will also be restricted at a blue-whale feeding area near San Diego and Navy...
