Navy Receives Indian-Built Patrol Vessel Almost 3 Months Ahead Of Schedule

Goa Shipyard in India has announced the delivery of a large offshore patrol vessel to the Sri Lankan navy.

The ship was handed over in a July 22 ceremony, 86 days ahead of schedule, according to release from the yard.

The keel of the vessel was laid on Sept. 10, 2014, and it was launched on May 5, 2016, the shipyard said.
