Navy Orders Study On Carrier-Based UAVs

The U.S. Navy has awarded Boeing a contract for a study on solutions for the service's Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike (UCLASS) program, reports the defense firm.
The $480,000 contract covers the development of a concept of operations, an analysis of alternatives and an investigation of potential material solutions, according to a company release.
