Navy Orders Sonar Upgrade Work From Lockheed Unit

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has awarded Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Sensors, Manassas, Va., a contract for a sonar upgrade program, reports the Dept. of Defense.

The $84 million contract covers the design and manufacture of hardware for the Acoustic Rapid Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Insertion (A-RCI) system improvement and integration program.
