Navy Orders Hundreds Of Additional SM-2 Missiles

The U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command has placed an order with Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Ariz., for SM-2 missiles, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $206 million contract covers the procurement of SM-2 missiles under fiscal 2009 and fiscal 2010 requirements for U.S. and foreign military sales.
The award covers 402 missiles, 40 AN/DKT-17A telemetric data transmitting sets, associated spare parts and data.
