Navy Orders Additional Seaglider UUVs

The U.S. Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) has awarded two contracts with iRobot for its Seaglider unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs), reports the Bedford, Mass.-based firm.
A $920,000 contract including options, covers deliveries of an undetermined number of Seaglider UUVs.
Another deal, worth $900,000 including options over three years, covers upgrades and support to NAVOCEANO's existing Seaglider systems.
