The Royal Navy of Oman has ordered four patrol vessels under its Al Ofouq program from a Singapore shipbuilder, reports Defense News.
The Omani Ministry of Defense this week awarded the contract valued at almost US$700 million contract to Singapore Technologies (ST) Marine, an arm of ST Engineering.
Netherlands-based Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding and India-based Goa Shipyard also competed for the contract, said company officials.
