Navy Opts For More Tomahawk Cruise Missiles

The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon a contract modification for more Tomahawk Block IV all-up round missiles in fiscal 2010, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $202.7 million contract covers the purchase of 196 missiles, exercising an option under a previous deal.
The award covers 132 vertical launch system missiles; 53 capsule launch system missiles for submarines; and 11 torpedo tube launch system missiles.
Work is scheduled to be concluded by July 2012.
