The Indian navy is considering how to have women serving on warships in the near future, reports the Indo-Asian News Service.
The service is still developing the appropriate policy for female officers, said a senior navy official.
"The higher authorities in the navy are working on the proposal. We are looking forward to it and hopefully it should be sorted out soon," said Commodore B.K. Munjal.
