Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko says Russia may rejoin NATO's anti-terrorist operations in the Mediterranean Sea, RIA Novosti reports.
Operation Active Endeavour, launched after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, includes naval patrols to monitor shipping and protect against terrorist activity. Russia withdrew from that mission this summer.
Both Russia and NATO understand that they should "work together to settle the aftermath of the Cold War," said Grushko.
