Navy, Marines Kick Off Amphibious Drills In Yellow Sea

The South Korean navy and marine corps are about to begin a major joint landing exercise in the Yellow Sea, reports the Yonhap news agency (Seoul).

The 11-day exercise that starts Thursday is taking placing in the waters off the western island of Anmyeon and involves around 2,200 sailors and 1,500 marines, according to service officials.
