Navy Intercepts Suspicious N. Korean Ship, Which Finally Heads Home

Senior American officials say a U.S. Navy destroyer intercepted a North Korean ship carrying illegal missile parts to Burma last month, Reuters reports.

The incident took place two weeks ago but no official announcement was made, noted the New York Times.

The USS McCampbell encountered the cargo ship M/V Light south of Shanghai on May 26, officials said.

The U.S. had been tracking the Light, which was suspected of being involved in previous illegal shipments.
