Navy Hands Out Major Contract For Submarine Work

The U.S. Navy has awarded Huntington Ingalls Industries a contract to provide engineering and industrial support to its submarines, reports the defense firm.

The award was made to the company's shipbuilding division in Newport News, Va.

The $106 million deal covers engineering, design, configuration management, integrated logistic support database management, research and development, modernization and industrial support to the subs, special-mission submersibles, submarine...
