Navy Conducts 1st Cooperative Engagement Firing Of Barak 8 Air Defense System

For the first time, the Indian navy has conducted a cooperative engagement firing of the Barak 8 air defense system, which is known domestically as the Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile (MR-SAM), reports the Indian Ministry of Defense.
The Kolkata-class guided-missile destroyers Kochi and Chennai took part in the test-firing off the western coast of India.
