The U.S. Navy is set to commission the littoral combat ship Cincinnati (LCS-20) and christen the submarine Oregon (SSN-793) this weekend, reports the U.S. Dept. of Defense.
On Saturday, the Cincinnati, an Independence-class LCS, is scheduled to be commissioned in Gulfport, Miss. The Cincinnati is the 10th ship in the Independence class and the 18th LCS to enter service.
