Navy Christens Tripoli Amphibious Assault Ship

The U.S. Navy has christened its second America-class amphibious assault ship, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The ceremony was held on Saturday in Pascagoula, Miss.
The Tripoli (LHA 7) is optimized for aviation operations with an enlarged hangar deck, realignment and expansion of aviation maintenance facilities, increased stowage for parts and support equipment and greater aviation fuel capacity.
