Adm. Nirmal Verma, the Indian navy chief, has just begun a 10-day visit to the United States aimed at fostering better relations, reports the Press Trust of India.
The admiral is slated to visit Hawaii to meet with Adm. Robert Willard, the head of the Pacific Command. He will also travel to Norfolk, Va., Seattle, Wash., and Washington, D.C., where he will meet with Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
