Navy Aims To Use More Sniper Rifles Against Pirates

The Indian navy plans to equip its sailors with sniper rifles to help combat piracy, reports the Press Trust of India.
Officials said the navy has already issued a global request for information for long-range rifles capable of use in a maritime environment.
The navy previously acquired more than 1,000 Israeli Tavor assault rifles and 30 Galil sniper rifles to equip its elite commando units.
