Navy Accelerates Work On Tomahawk Missile Able To Hit Moving Targets

The U.S. Navy has awarded Raytheon a $119 million contract to start integrating a new multi-mode seeker with the Tomahawk Block IV cruise missile, reports the defense firm.
The upgrade will allow the missile to attack moving maritime targets.
The seeker is being developed as a rapid deployment capability program to meet urgent fleet requirements for defeating emerging maritime threats, said a Raytheon release on Sept. 12.
