Spanish shipbuilder Navantia has handed over the amphibious warship Juan Carlos I to the Spanish navy during a ceremony at the Military Dockyard at Ferrol, reports defense-aerospace.com.
The amphibious assault ship is the largest vessel ever built by Navantia and will be the largest to be operated by the Spanish navy, company officials said.
The warship was launched and christened in March.
