Naval Training Stresses Interoperability With Japan, U.S.

An Australian frigate is ready for three days of drills this week with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, reports the Australian Dept. of Defense.
The bilateral Nichi Gou Trident exercise will include the Australian frigate Ballarat and AP-3C maritime patrol aircraft as well as the Japanese guided-missile destroyer Shimakaze and a submarine.
