Naval Strike Missile Hits Target In Calif. Test

The Royal Norwegian Navy and Kongsberg have conducted the first live-fire shot with a production model Naval Strike Missile (NSM) against a sea target, reports the Norwegian defense firm.

The missile was fired from its canister and completed the planned route, performed a wide range of advanced maneuvers, including demonstrating extreme sea-skimming capabilities, before locating, engaging, hitting and destroying the sea target, according to a company release.
