Naval Helicopter Crashes Off S.W. Coast

A South Korean naval helicopter crashed late on Thursday during a patrol near Chuja Island, southeast of the South Jeolla province, reports the Chosun Ilbo (Seoul).
The Lynx helicopter was searching for a submarine when it went down, officials said. Military and maritime police immediately dispatched patrol vessels to the region.
The pilot was killed and three crewmembers were missing, the navy said on Friday, according to South Korea's Ariran News.
