Naval Base On Black Sea To Be Completed Within Decade

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin says that Russia will finish construction of a new Black Sea naval base in Novorossiisk by 2020, reports RIA Novosti.

Work on the US$3 billion facility began in 2005, with the first of three phases slated for completion later this year. The second phase is scheduled to wrap up in 2016 and the third in 2020.
