Navair Orders F-35 Upgrades

The Naval Air Systems Command has awarded a pair of contracts to Lockheed Martin for the upgrade of low-rate initial production (LRIP) F-35 aircraft, reports the Dept. of Defense.
One contract, worth $68 million, covers changes to the configuration baseline hardware and software for LRIP Lot II aircraft from F-35 developmental work, according to a Pentagon release.
