NAVAIR Orders Another 14 Super Hornet Fighters

The Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Boeing a contract modification for F/A-18E/F Super Hornet fighter jets, reports the Dept. of Defense.
The $677 million modification covers the full-rate production and delivery of six Lot 41 single-seat F/A-18E and eight two-seat F/A-18F aircraft, said a Pentagon release on Sept. 13.
Work will be performed primarily in El Segundo, Calif., and St. Louis, Mo., and is scheduled to be completed in February 2019.
