NATO Says Its Strike On Compound Was Made On Legitimate Target

The NATO military alliance now says an airstrike outside Tripoli that reportedly killed civilians actually struck a military target, Agence France-Presse reports.

A Libyan government spokesman said 15 people, including three children, were killed in the early Monday attack in the Sorman area of the capital.

Alliance officials first denied the strike, then acknowledged it made the attack. On Tuesday, the alliance said a "high-level" command-and-control node was hit.
