NATO officials have decided to extend its campaign in Libya for another 90 days until late September, Agence France-Presse reports.
A statement from the alliance on Wednesday said that NATO remained committed to protecting "the people of Libya."
A Libyan government spokesman said on Tuesday that NATO airstrikes since March 19 have left 718 civilians dead and 4,067 wounded. Those figures do not include military casualties, he said.
