NATO Fights Corruption With New Contracting Rules

New NATO contracting guidelines in Afghanistan are aimed at boosting local business development and fighting corruption, reports the Washington Post.

The rules were released last week by Gen. David Petraeus, the commander of coalition operations in the country.

The idea is to spread the contracts beyond a select group of companies to help develop a broader business sector, officials said.
