NATO Bases Attacked In Kandahar

Taliban fighters armed with heavy weapons have attacked a NATO base in southern Afghanistan, reports the Washington Post.
Before dawn on Tuesday, seven militants assaulted a base on the outskirts of Kandahar city, NATO officials said.
All the militants were killed in the 15-minute firefight, said officials. There were no immediate reports of NATO casualties.
Some workers at the camp, including a foreign contractor, were reported wounded.
