Mutiny Leader Becomes Army Chief

Gen. Antonio Indjai assumed his post as chief of Guinea-Bissau's army on Tuesday less than three months after leading a mutiny and threatening to kill the prime minister, reports the South African Press Association.

On April 1, Indjai ordered soldiers to arrest army Chief of Staff Gen. Jose Zamora Induta and Prime Minister Carlos Gomes Jr.
